Attend Legislative Day sponsored by the Nebraska Hotel & Motel Association. You'll find we do not hard press lawmakers during the breakfast, we simply talk with them, explain our business when asked, and let them know we appreciate their dedication to Nebraska.
It's not much different than going to a friend's house for a social gathering, except this one helps make sure legislators do not pass bad laws that will impact your business. They appreciate you coming from all across the state, and your presence helps make this one of the most successful things we as an industry can do to promote our position on bills of importance to you.
You need to make every effort to attend this event. There will be very few things you do that month that can help your business more than taking the time to mingle with lawmakers and others from the hospitality industry to show how large our industry is and how concerned about what laws being debated will have on our bottom lines.
