Each episode is approximately 45 minutes to an hour long and follows Christina’s mother, Cindy, in search of her daughter.
The filmmaker dives deep into the investigation, focusing on the documents surrounding what was found and where the investigation stands 10 years later. Filmmaker Christina Fontana met Cindy in 2010 while Fontana was making another missing persons documentary. Fontana goes to Hannibal and begins speaking with the people who last saw Christina and what they remember about the night she disappeared and the search began to find her.
In the first episode, Fontana introduces you to Christina’s friends, family, and why she got so involved with Christina and her family. There are so many twists and turns in these docuseries that will make you shake your head at times in disbelief knowing that it happened in American’s hometown.
Every Monday a new episode comes out, and so far there are three available to watch on Discovery +. As Fontana digs deeper into the matter and follows any leads she can find, she is shocked and in disbelief at what she finds out. It truly is an incredible docuserie that will open your eyes to how the missing person investigation unfolds.
